The Forgotten Relationship

When most of us think about the important relationships in our lives, we seldom think to include the one inside of us that takes place between our head and our heart. Yet that could be the most important relationship of our entire life!

Surely you’ve noticed how often we refer to this important inner relationship throughout this website. Here, we’ll begin to put a little more meat on the bones.

• When you think of your rational mind, it often helps to notice similarities between it and a computer chip. One of the chip’s most useful design features, for example, is it's ability to be programmed. Another is it's ability reflect images. As a piece of imaging equipment it can provide an exact reflection of the picture it’s received. Thus we can think of it as a copy machine, one which can duplicate any image it has been given, but is unable to source anything by itself.


• When thinking about your intuitive mind on the other hand, we must begin by realizing that it’s known to be at least 1,000 times as powerful as your rational mind. For starters, that means it’s virtually unlimited by comparison. It also requires an entirely different and far more powerful processing language—the languages of feelings, patterns and pictures (as in worth 1,000 words).
